One word. Amazing!!! Just checked in today and in love with the view from my room. They left chocolates and cards for my special day. Loved the host
We stayed for a few nights. The rooms were very nice and the beds very comfortable. The breakfast was first class cooked by the owner and the stay was Very enjoyable. Recommend this when visiting the New Forest.
Have had a 3 day stay. Food very good quality especially the breakfast. Room capacious with plenty of wardrobe and drawer space. Bathroom a comfortable size. All areas clean and tidy. All management and staff friendly, ready to help at anytime making the stay very welcoming. The building was originally a manor house and much of the decor is original. Rooms have been similarly fitted out to maintain that theme. Whilst this might not suit all, we found it most comfortable and not shall we say dated. No plastic or chrome - perfect.
We love the food here! Always good with a varied menu where everyone can find food to suit. We don't live locally - but wish we did. The chairs and tables are a bit battered but they add to the ambience of this place which has a "real pub" charm to it. The staff are always lovely .If you are a beer connoisseur - you'll love it!
Set in lovely grounds, a fair distance from the road, so no traffic noise. This hotel has retained a lot of its original character, which really appealed to us. Rooms were nice, mattress was very comfortable. Evening meal & breakfast were very good. Staff were very friendly & helpful. Would definitely stay again.
Absolutely excellent, great choice at breakfast, the rooms are superb, brilliant location, the hosts John and Kerry are very welcoming would certainly recommend.
We would come back here in a heartbeat. Great, friendly atmosphere. Nothing was too much trouble for our kind hosts, Mark and Sara and the building and grounds are charming and beautiful. It's not the Hilton, but neither is the price. We cannot remember better value for money. The food was great and the accommodation comfortable. Thanks for a great long weekend. Pete and Karen
Have only been several times over the years for a meal and each time it was wonderful and good value. Went last Sunday for lunch and managed a desert, toffee cheesecake. Absolutely fabulous and mustn’t forget the roast potatoes with my beef. Rolled in herbs and finished in butter. Crisp and gorgeous. Give it all “A 10”
